Overview:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President, Finance plays a critical role in driving financial discipline, responsible for leadership of the Accounting and Financial Planning and Analysis teams. The VP of Finance will interact collaboratively with internal leaders and externally with lenders, investors and other third parties, with a focus on meeting business and financial goals.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
  • Responsible for ensuring various corporate financial activities completed in timely manner, including audits, tax compliance, monthly close process, monthly reporting, financial trend analysis, , forecasting, budgeting, long range planning
  • Lead and ensure leadership has timely performance data, analysis and financial reports focused upon meeting the Company's financial and growth goals.
  • Lead and mentor the Finance and Accounting team to ensure compliance and excellence in day-to-day execution as well as planning and preparing for future growth
  • Direct the overall financial plans and accounting practices following GAAP. Includes working with the Finance and Accounting team to manage financial performance by developing forecasts and monitoring ongoing performance against plan
  • Lead and manage the annual financial planning process and long-term business planning, including strategic forecasting, long term financial and profitability analysis, monthly financial statements and annual financial statement audit
  • Assist executive team with managing and servicing Investor and Customer relationships
  • Responsible for timely compliance with third party covenant and reporting requirements
  • Act as the primary point of contact and relationship manager with financial institutions, outside accountants, and others providing corporate support.
  • Design, implement, test and ensure functional internal controls and related processes are in place and consistently executed. Oversee and lead corporate responses to third party financial and contract audits.
  • Champion continuous improvement and implementation of best practices for processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Support structured ad hoc financial reporting presentation for external third parties (i.e., lenders, investors)
  • Protect the company by ensuring compliance with financial and tax regulations and strengthening, monitoring, and enforcing a strong internal controls environment and appropriate financial reporting processes.
  • Proactively manage risks through strong collaboration with other business units, senior/executive leadership, and drive capability improvement accordingly.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field, Master's Degree preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Minimum of 10 years related experience
  • Healthcare industry experience

Skills and Abilities:
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced growth environment in an evolving new industry segment of Healthcare
  • Innovative, self-starter able to digest complicated financial arrangements and provide insightful information to executive leadership
  • Provide deliverables within a set timeline, work collaboratively in a growing organization managing the demands of various external stakeholders
  • Business acumen including understanding and anticipating the impact of implementing growth strategies, new product offerings to the organization and its financial health
  • Business acumen and understanding the transition in healthcare from fee-for-service to Value -Based Care reimbursement coupled with traditional financial/budget management, data analysis and decision-making.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation and relationship building skills with an ability to coach and mentor all levels of teammates; Proven ability to develop a high performing team and manage develop leaders.
  • Demonstrated focus on delivering results
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to present information in a clear and concise manner
  • Problem-solving skills including skills such as research, reasoning, analysis, and decision making.
  • Excellent project management skills including organization, meeting deadlines and the ability to multitask
  • Ability to exhibit a high-energy level with a tempered keen sense of urgency
  • Ability to implement and execute successful business transformation and lead through change
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft365, business intelligence software, accounting software (Oracle experience a plus)
  • Understanding of and ability to maintain compliance with HIPAA
  • Professional presence

Work Environment:
This position operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position may also work in a remote/telecommuting environment
Travel:
20% travel may be required.
