Position Summary
Kellen's Vice Presidents (VPs) play a crucial role in leading the organization toward a successful, sustainable, and profitable future. Operating as Executive Client Leads and overseeing client portfolios, VPs are leaders in their assigned verticals. They oversee the implementation of client strategic plans, manage client budgeting and financials, track objectives and key results, and ensure efficient client operations. As organizational leaders, VPs focus on effective leadership, team building, management accountability, client satisfaction, and strategic communication.
Essential Functions
Management of Association Clients
- Collaborate with Board Presidents on association strategy.
- Direct member programs, campaigns for new members, and services.
- Identify potential industry partnerships for membership growth.
- Oversee client meetings, events, fundraising, marketing, and outreach efforts.
- Direct association finances and advise boards on adjustments and cost containment strategies.
Kellen Corporate-Level Responsibilities
- Act as a brand ambassador, representing Kellen and identifying new business opportunities.
- Identify speaking engagements to position oneself as a thought leader.
- Offer advisory feedback on corporate-level programs in HR, business development, and marketing.
Team Leadership
- Administer and manage department policies, procedures, and practices.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate employees.
- Provide guidance for employee development and overall department professionalism.
- Ensure client satisfaction, resolve issues, and identify opportunities for additional Kellen services.
Other duties that align with the mission and vision of the company as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communication, human resources, or related discipline preferred, with 10 to 12 years of experience.
- Association Management experience required; CAE certification preferred.
- Demonstrated operational, organizational, and leadership experience.
- Experience with financial management, budgeting, and oversight of organization-wide budgets ($2 MM - $5 MM or more).
- Polished communication and interpersonal skills, conflict resolution ability.
- Credibility building with all staff levels and effective relationship management.
- Strong planning and organization skills for managing multiple client relationships.
- Creative and strategic thinker with flexibility to manage change.
- Proactive and collaborative working style, experience with motivating a volunteer workforce.
