Compensation is based on experience. One year of Veterinary Receptionist experience is required.

Position overview:
Our Veterinary Receptionists are a vital part of our team! They support and add value to an efficient practice dedicated to quality care and exceptional service. Receptionists set the tone for the practice, help maintain each owner's trust in the practice's abilities, and are at the forefront of client interaction.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Greeting clients and patients as they arrive for appointments and notifying technical staff when they arrive.
- Checking in/out patients.
- Processing payments.
- Answering phone calls and routing calls as necessary; processing faxes; responding to client emails in a timely manner.
- Coordinating and scheduling appointments; identifying potential emergencies and scheduling them appropriately; confirming appointments.
- Maintaining and ensuring accuracy of client/patient accounts; entering and obtaining previous medical records for new patients and updating accounts as necessary.
- Client education; becoming familiar with preventatives, vaccinations, routine testing, etc. to be able to confidently discuss with clients
- Maintaining hospital cleanliness.
Candidates must be comfortable handling patients and communicating with clients on a regular basis.
