Located in central San Diego, B Street Veterinary Hospital is seeking candidates qualified for the position of Receptionist.
B Street is a hybrid veterinary hospital, serving a variety of patients from wellness/preventative care to critically ill and injured companion animals. Due to the overwhelming demand for emergency care, sometimes days run long at B Street, but we are committed to helping pets in distress and their families. B Street is a fast-paced, cutting-edge, and growing medical establishment that requires energy, enthusiasm, and precision from the entire team.
We are seeking individuals who are personable, self motivated, reliable, and able to follow instructions and manage client expectations. The right candidate will find opportunities to learn and advance and have some fun in the meantime.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and their pets
- Act as a liaison between the clients and veterinarians
- Greet clients and their pets, and ensure they are checked in/out efficiently; including counseling clients on any dispensed medications and going over discharge instructions
- Collect, update and verify client information and patient medical history is accurate and up to date
- Explain treatment plans to owners, collect required payments and be able to discuss financing options
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain the cleanliness of the reception area and exam rooms
- Obtain patient vitals and triage patients in need of emergency medical attention
We are currently looking for full time candidates, who have flexible hours and weekend availability.
