Veterinary Assistant

Summerlin Animal Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

We're looking for responsible, self-motivated team players who have at least 1+ years of clinical experience. We are excited to bring on a new team member to be a part of the continued growth of our fun-loving team.

This is a great opportunity for Veterinary Assistants who are looking for career growth opportunities and a balanced work schedule. Our schedule is built on four full days, 7:45am-5:30pm and 7:10am-5:30pm on surgery days. No weekends!

Primary responsibilities and experience:

• General exam room duties associated with patient visits
• (Taking TPR's, history, prepping vaccines and medications, entering charges)
• Prepping lab samples for microscopic read or send out to Idexx
• DVMax experience is a plus
• Use of in-house laboratory equipment
• Venipuncture/catheter placement
• Completing digital x-rays
• Completing dental digital x-rays
• Dental scale and polishing
• Providing therapeutic laser treatments
• Assisting answering phones/making appointments when reception is busy
• Light clean-up duty at day's end and throughout the day
