The University of Florida Veterinary Hospitals is a 40,000 sq foot newly built hospital at the World Equestrian Center (WEC), a high profile 300-acre equine facility in Ocala, 30 minutes south of Gainesville. UF Veterinary Hospitals at WEC provides Equine sports medicine, rehabilitation, and diagnostic imaging services and Small Animal primary care and urgent care services.
An Equine Veterinary Assistant at the UFVH at WEC, assist with restraint and handling of horses, patient care, procedures, stocking and general cleaning and maintenance of the hospital and equipment. An individual in this position must possess experience working with horses and their specific physical and behavioral traits. This is a physically demanding position requiring strength and stamina.

Available Shifts:
Varying 8-10 hours shifts, normally between 7:00am and 7:00pm. May require working holidays and weekends, and on-call.
This position is considered essential personnel and requires a post-offer health assessment.
$15.00 - $17.00
High school diploma or equivalent.
More than two years work experience handling and restraining horses at an advanced level
Previous experience utilizing equine rehabilitation equipment
Understand basic medical terminology
