Verification and Test Engineer / TCMS Key User
She/He performs validation and verification activities on functions and TC&IS sub-systems (TCMS, PACIS) and components (SW, S&A) for AMTRAK Next Generation HighSpeed Train project. He/she would have received specific trainings on TCMS and relavant tools allowing him/her to perform first level troubleshooting and liaise with TCMS team.
The mission location is in Philadelphia , PA (USA) to support ongoing Validaiton and Test campagin activities for the project at the AMTRAK facility in Philadelphia (Penn Coach Yard) and also the customer facilities/depots as per dynamic shifts of the train.

Responsibilities

• Upload new revision of TCMS Softwares
• When an issue is detected on the trainset, ability to characterize and troubleshoot the issue
• Liaise with TCMS back-office to get support and issue resolution
• Contribute to write and Test the TCMS user manual
• Setting-up the verification & test environment applying the appropriate configuration
• Delivery of TC&IS coverage matrix on the functions and sub-systems in his/her scope
• Configuration management of Verification & Test deliverables on the functions and sub-systems in his/her scope: 100% deliverables properly managed into configuration database
• Management of validation status of change requests (CR) on the functions and sub-systems in his/her scope: all CR status up-to-date in CR database (in line with test procedures and reports)
• Management of CR on the functions and sub-systems in his/her scope: all NOK results in test reports related to a CR

Knowledge & Experience

• Knowledge and understanding of electrical schematics
• Knowledge and understanding of Software functional specification /SDD
• Knowledge of TCMS maintenance tools: (TrainTracer, controlBuild, TCMS command lines)
• Familiar with software development using model based development tools like Matlab / Simulink, Control Build for instance in Railway or Health, Defence, Aeronautical, Automotive domains.
• Knowledge of network protocols like MVB, Ethernet, CAN, RS232, RS 485 etc
