Description
Review, ensure and validate full vehicle interior and exterior component product designs, manufacturability and interface, and compliance with manufacturing requirements, and vehicle assembly plant General Assembly (GA) area strategies for conventional gasoline ICE passenger vehicle, Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Autonomous Vehicle systems, using Teamcenter Vismockup, Engineering Change Management (ECM), Engineering Change Request (ECR), and Auros tools. Analyze and ensure manufacturability of interior systems including instrument panels, floor consoles, seat systems, headliners, and exterior systems including front/rear fascia, windshields, headlamps, tail lamps, and roof glass. Perform General Assembly (GA) manufacturing planning studies (MPSs) for new passenger vehicles, model year changes, production volume changes, Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), and implementation of new standards for machinery and equipment and updates to Bills of Process (BOPs) and Bills of Equipment (BOE), line balancing activities to meet productivity targets, and development and implementation of plant productivity proposals.
Additional Description
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related. One (1) year of experience as Engineer or related. Must also have experience with: validating component Interior and Exterior component product designs, manufacturability and interface and compliance with manufacturing requirements, and vehicle assembly plant General Assembly (GA) area strategies for passenger vehicle, using Teamcenter Vismockup and Auros tools, or related.
