Vehicle Regulatory And Telematics Compliance Administrator

Location

Ideally, West Chester, OH (onsite 2 days per week). Would potentially consider full-remote if outside OH.

Purpose

This position will administer programs for USDOT regulatory compliance, MVR (motor vehicle record) monitoring, and Telematics (GPS) activities for a one thousand plus vehicle/driver fleet.

Position Location and Details

The preferred location for this position is the West Chester, OH office and is hybrid. Other locations will be considered for a strong skill match. Reports to the FRS Support Services Manager (Fleet, Equipment and Uniforms).

Role and Responsibilities

• Ensure service fleet compliance with USDOT regulations: driver certification, medical cards, vehicle signage, inspections, and ELD (electronic logging device) use compliance.
• Administer record keeping activities for USDOT compliance.
• Conduct follow up actions with drivers and managers to ensure closure of open items.
• Learn applicable laws and serve as the internal USDOT compliance expert.
• Administer the MVR (motor vehicle record) program.
• Manage MVR data to ensure service drivers are compliant with MVR reporting requirements with points in an acceptable range.
• Coordinate communication with Managers and HR when MVR monitor identifies violations requiring action.
• Monitor driver training program and ensure all drivers complete assigned training.
• Administer the Telematics/GPS program.
• Ensure correct data setup and safety alerts are in place.
• Take actions to ensure all included vehicles are actively using Telematics.
• Provide reporting to managers with action plans for any potentially risky driving.
• Provide coaching to drivers to improve safe driving and reduce maintenance costs.
• Lead and assist in developing and improving digital solutions to support the above activities.
• Provide data analysis and digital support for other FSR Support Services functions as needed.
• Initiate and lead process improvement with a focus on digital solutions.

What qualifications will make you successful?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or Other degree strongly preferred. (3-5 years of related work experience could also be considered)
• This position requires experience with administration of internal systems and a strong aptitude for managing detailed rules-based systems.
• Understanding of driver safety requirements and acceptable behaviors.
• Must have strong data management skills and experience with data management tools. Must be able to work with database tables and formulas.
• Must be adept using Microsoft Excel (must know v, x and h lookups).
• Experience with Microsoft Access, SharePoint Lists or Microsoft PowerApps preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to comfortably interact with employees and managers representing various levels of the Services organization.
• Able to confront challenging issues in a positive and constructive manner.
• Previous USDOT regulatory compliance experience is a plus.
