Pay
This position is an Exempt position at pay grade 210.
Attendance
Non-rotating 40-hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Overview
The primary purpose for this position is to manage and coordinate construction and emergency repairs in Wastewater and/or Water Maintenance of Lines; and to plan and prioritize major work activities to ensure compliance with TCEQ and other governing rules and regulations.
Responsibilities
• Monitor work order priorities by using existing computerized maintenance management system to analyze work order backlog, resource availability, asset criticality, asset maintenance history, maintenance schedules, safety plans, and job plans for different types of equipment work
• Perform data analysis to forecast issues that might affect departmental performance standards and balance score card metrics.
• Coordinate new water system infrastructure projects by communicating with contractors and project managers on installation ant testing
• Ability to interrupt and understand engineering plans
• Conduct strategic planning sessions with Work Coordinators, process optimizer and team leaders
• Provide budget assistance by making recommendations for both the department operating budget and the capital budget
• Develop procurement, leasing, and outsourcing strategies by analyzing recourse cost and demand levels
• Serve as Project Manager by creating action groups of subject matter experts (SME's) to devise strategies and protocols to resolve issues of concern
• Participate in group meetings and help develop effective work strategies for departmental and City projects
• Participate in the hiring process; develop job description questionnaires, and pre-employment interview questions
• May be asked to perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Requires a Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS)
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience
• A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered
• Wastewater Collections Ill or Water "C" Operators License preferred; candidate must be able to obtain either License within time permitted by TCEQ
• Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred, but not needed
• A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Basis of Rating
Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
