U.S. Transportation Command Operations Subject Matter Expert

We are seeking a skilled and experienced U.S. Transportation Command Operations Subject Matter Expert to join our team!

Responsibilities:
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise on the implementation and management of RII's core Command and Control (C2) automation capability software in support of global integration and C2 efforts supporting TRANSCOM at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois
- Provide strategic insight, analytical support, system training, and advisory services to help drive successful planning and execution of C2 system integration, with a focus on concept exploration and experimentation pertaining to TRANSCOM related efforts
- Provide C2 system support related to the planning and execution of TRANSCOM Operations, Activities, and Investments (OAIs) while engaging with senior leadership and representatives to support the integration and use of RII's software throughout the organization's battle rhythm
- Establish Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to eliminate bottlenecks, streamline capability development and deployment, and improve practices that will enhance the quality and velocity of information flow
- Develop and deliver clear and concise presentations and reports up to the four-star level to convey observations, results, and recommendations that capture the interests of the end user and other possible stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent and demonstrated real-world experience in the below areas
- Must be able to work independently with limited oversight, and function effectively as part of a geographically separated operations team
- Must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to effectively interact with senior level stakeholders (Government, Military, Corporate) in / with diverse environments / backgrounds, and identify important strategic takeaways
- Must have strong planning, problem solving, analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
- Experience gathering, analyzing, and presenting facts using the appropriate data collection and dissemination tools/techniques/methods
- Identify sub-optimal processes, technical and operational problems/risks, and develop and/or recommend innovative solutions or mitigation steps
- Experience and capability to perform tasks with Microsoft productivity software and applications as well as other off-the-shelf capabilities
- Entrepreneurial mindset - actively seek out new opportunities, use cases and activities that would benefit from our deployed capabilities
- Must have experience developing TTPs, SOPs, or other process documents
- Experience creating and maintaining training curriculum and providing in-person or virtual classes
- Experience with the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP) or Military Decision-Making process (MDMP) sufficient to engage Combatant Command and Service Component leadership on operational matters related to the system and suggested enhancements to current battle rhythm with large-scale integrations
- Understanding of Combatant Command organization and responsibilities including B2C2WG
EVEN BETTER
- The equivalent of a bachelor's degree; Computer science, engineering, IT, or a related discipline a plus!
- Previous experience supporting TRANSCOM
- Experience working at a Combatant Command (J3, J35, J39, J5), Sub-unified Command, Service Component Command or Joint Staff level
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Familiar with systems engineering processes for developing/documenting requirements; experience with the Agile software development process preferred
- IT Certifications such as: CompTIA Network+, Security+, CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) a bonus!
