- This role is responsible for managing, leading and developing the New York Metro coverage team, within Corporate Banking in the United States.
- Responsibilities will include formulating the strategy for the region and driving effective engagement with key internal partners to achieve sustainable revenue growth and returns. In addition, the roleholder willl drive new client acquisition, portfolio and Risk-Weighted Asset (RWA) management, returns and a focus on end-to-end customer satisfaction. The role will also be be responsible for transaction execution oversight and the provision of ongoing support to clients and their transactional needs and growth aspirations.
- This role is an opportunity to lead a large, strategically critical coverage team within Corporate Banking, be a critical player in the execution of CMB’s strategy in the US and drive meaningful contribution to HBUS revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of high-performing, specialized bankers and associates in the New York area, dedicated to managing and growing the region’s clients.
- Drive the execution of the US CMB strategy to meet key performance indicators (eg: revenue growth, expense control, RoRWA/ROTE optimisation, asset and liability balance growth, customer satisfaction scores)
- Promote long term, sustainable growth in the region in line with the HBUS CMB strategic plan through effective relationship building, customer contact plans and pipeline management for both existing and new customers
- Grow outbound revenue for the region through a focus on international clients and championing business collaboration with counterparts across other HSBC regions
- Drive proactive collaboration with partners across GPS, GLCM, Markets and Credit Management to deepen customer relationships and diversify revenue streams
- Foster close alignment and engagement with key internal teams and stakeholders including HSBC Innovations, Global Banking, Corporate GRMs and Sustainability in other regions
- Build and maintain effective external external relationships with clients and COIs, which contribute to the sector and Corporate’s growth
- Develop an effective acquisition and retention strategy for HBUS Corporate clients to increase market share across the region.
- Act as a thought leader, championing the Corporate business and brand both internally and externally, and enhancing HSBC’s position in covering internationally-focused clients
- Ensure delivery of high-quality tracking and governance of regional performance, and build out of local market expertise, pitchbooks and client marketing materials
- Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved.

For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $300,000 and $425,000.
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
