As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at our Ambulatory Surgery Center, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical ophthalmic and cosmetic procedures. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough preoperative assessments to evaluate patients' medical history, anesthesia requirements, and potential risks.
- Collaborate with surgeons, CRNAs, and other healthcare team members to develop individualized anesthesia care plans.
- Administer local anesthesia with monitored sedation in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor and adjust anesthesia levels to ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the surgical procedure.
- Utilize advanced monitoring equipment to closely observe patient's vital signs, respiratory status, and overall physiological responses during surgery.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Expertly manage patients' airway, ensuring proper ventilation and oxygenation during anesthesia induction, maintenance and emergence.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing information and reassurance regarding anesthesia procedures.
- Work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses and other health professionals to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive electronic medical records and paper records, documenting all aspects of the anesthesia care provided.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and documentation requirements.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- State licensure as a CRNA
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Advanced practice nursing degree from an accredited program.
- Experience in proving anesthesia services in an ambulatory surgery setting preferred
- Must possess the physical, mental, and cognitive skills needed to complete essential tasks, including abilities such as learning, remembering, focusing, categorizing, and integrating information for comprehension, problem-solving, and timely decision-making.?
