UP Management is looking to fill the role of IT Support Technician! This position is located in our Rock Island, IL office and requires six (6) weekends of work outside of the normal business hours for auctions, and occasional weekends outside of normal business hours as needed for maintenance of technology.
What does the IT Support Technician do?
The IT Support Technician supports growing team of approximately 200+ employees. This position provides end-user and infrastructure support, executes routine maintenance, and monitors network and systems.
What does the day to day look like?
- Maintains and Manages New and Existing Users: The IT Support Technician works directly with hiring managers for new users as new employees are hired and with existing users on any related hardware or accessories. This includes assisting with installation and configuration of new computers and users as needed, and troubleshooting any potential problems they may encounter.
- Maintains technology inventory: The IT Support Technician will maintain and supply inventory, which includes, but not limited to cables, adapters, laptops, monitors, and PCs. This person will report on inventory to the VP of IT and work with them on ensuring all inventory is maintained for technology.
- Provides infrastructure support: This position provides infrastructure support in the following capacities:
- Citrix and VMware environments, basic knowledge of AWS;
- Networking knowledge such as switches and firewall appliance management, documenting systems;
- Server software and hardware upgrades;
- Research, learn, and evaluate new software; and
- Primary and child domains.

What would set me apart from other candidates?
If you have networking knowledge and/or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field, this will give you a leg up amongst other candidates but is not required for the position.
What are the hours?
This position is located in our Rock Island, IL office. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. This position also has approximately six (6) auction weekends throughout the year and may need to work additional overtime on the weekends based on company needs for technology maintenance.

Physical Requirements
Occasionally moving and transporting up to 50 pounds. Constant sedentary work for prolonged periods up to 100% of the time with frequent ascending, descending, or positioning self to maintain moving and transporting technology devices, wires, supplies, and equipment. Must be able to constantly communicate and exchange accurate information. Must be able to detect, identify, inspect, troubleshoot, and assess issues or problems relevant to information technology desk support. Constantly operates and uses computer and other relevant equipment and office machinery. Constantly works around firearms, bladed weaponry, and valuable collectibles.
