Community Medical Center, Located in Toms River New Jersey, a member of RWJ Barnabas Health, is looking for a Unit Secretary to be a part of a Great Team.
We are currently seeking someone that can help us attain our mission statement; to advance the quality of life and health of our community. The ideal candidate will drive our vision of being the premier health care provider, fully committed to ensuring quality and compassionate care.
The Unit Secretary assists the Director of Patient Care and the staff nurses by performing diversified secretarial duties. These duties include but are not limited to: filing, document storage and retrieval, reception, typing, routine record keeping, maintain supplies and equipment, maintaining monthly statistics. Interacts with patients and families to help facilitate high quality patient care. Communicates and collaborates with hospital staff, physicians, and medical offices to develop and maintain procedural schedules.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Computer Literate - Word, Excel, Windows
- Familiar with Medical Terminology
- Strong phone skills.
- Previous Unit Secretary or medical office experience preferred.
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Successful completion of all Orientation Programs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
