Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Unified Communications Leader to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about telecommunications and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day installation, service, programming, testing, and troubleshooting of UC systems which include’ s Mitel Premise Based systems along with our own hosted cloud solutions. Effectively handle multiple projects at a time while assisting others on the team with more complex projects and problems.
Scope of Responsibility
Install and program UC platforms which may include some or all the following functionality: Chat; Presence; Voice; Mobility; Audio; Web; Video; Desktop Sharing; Call Control; Unified Messaging; Email; Soft Faxing, etc.
- Implement new projects / system installations at customer locations.
- Employ appropriate troubleshooting techniques for UC and PBX products.
- Develop other technicians to better support and provide exemplary customer service to our customers.
- Complete work orders for moves, adds, changes (MAC) and deletions, on company supported product lines.
- Ensure front-line customer satisfaction by dealing professionally and effectively with all internal and external customers/clients.
- Receive, plan, and prioritize jobs/work orders daily.
- Coordinate with other Team Members for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently.
- Complete required documentation in a variety of written and electronic formats according to company standards such as time reporting for billing & payroll, work order progress & completion, time and materials used, etc.
- Inform operations management regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing necessary information for making decisions or taking appropriate action.
- Respond to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate client concerns or outages.
- Transport a variety of items (e.g. tools, equipment, supplies, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at client site.
- Work with the team to identify areas of improvement to increase productivity.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Experience
7 + years’ experience working on UC / VoIP platforms. Previous experience working with Mitel platforms (MiCollab, MiVoice Business, MiContact Center, MiVoice Border Gateway) is a big plus.
- Working knowledge of VoIP networking and technical proficiency in LAN/WAN architectures.
- Must be willing to delegate, develop and support others in a way that will increase the knowledge and skills of all on the team.
- Ability to work with tools, wiring, cables, and technology parts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to analyze, test and resolve complex technology issues.
- Must be able to travel onsite to customer locations to implement new projects or troubleshoot reported issues.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
