Duties and responsibilities of the position:
- Set up new business files
- Clerical/admin support for the Safety & Loss Control department
- Communicate with Head Office departments as needed
- Set up new policy documents and maintain integrity of files.
- Premium processing for policies and endorsements
- Set up reinsurance certificates in electronic system
- Processing policies and endorsements within written guidelines
- Process premium audits
- Bill premium for premium bearing transactions
- All other tasks that may be assigned by underwriters
- Data Entry
- Clearing new business submissions in Salesforce
- Enter policy data into various Starr platforms- Camilion, Lynx, Salesforce etc.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a Property Insurance company
- Full professional fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications: Word, Outlook, Excel
- Accuracy and speed in data entry and typing tasks
- Problem solving, analytical and detailed
- Good at complying with deadlines
- Comfortable working within a team
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload
- Good written and verbal communication skills
