Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant to join our Workers Comp Aviation team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to our underwriting team, assisting with various administrative tasks, data analysis, and policy processing.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist underwriters in evaluating workers' compensation insurance applications for aviation-related businesses.
  • Conduct data analysis and research to support underwriting decisions and risk assessments.
  • Prepare and review policy documents, endorsements, and other underwriting-related correspondence.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of policies and endorsements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in underwriting systems and databases.
  • Communicate effectively with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders to address inquiries and provide assistance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of underwriting guidelines and procedures.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks affecting the aviation sector.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Aviation Management, or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in insurance underwriting, workers' compensation insurance, or aviation insurance is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make sound underwriting decisions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
