Location: Remote is fine, hybrid and near to any new hubs are fine
Duration: End of the year, potential to extend
Day to day: working mainly in buyer payments, cart and check out experience. Own gift cards, check out, buyer phone details. Need to understand the cart and check out options. Needs a lot of collaboration. Will be working with a senior designer and releases and task. Figma, end to end thinking, velocity are the key for this role. Mobile web, Android, Apple. Currently in middle of a new design language. 1-1 once a week, stand up meetings everyday.
Must have skills: Figma rockstar, speed is important with attention to detail. Communication is the key. Over communication is better.
Nice to have skills: big strategic thinkers. Growth strategic in UX. Bigger picture thinking.
Education/Experience: Experience is preferred over education.
Yrs of experience- 5-7 yrs of experience. 10-12 yrs are fine but should fit the bill.
Industry- Fintech or eCommerce or Consumer facing is preferred. Wouldn't mind someone coming from an agency.
Red flags: More than 2 pages-not interested.
Portfolio is really important.
Team: Nothing outside of regular working hours. Manager sits in CST time zone. 4 people in the team, this would be the 5th person and 1 more to follow.
Interview: 1-1 with Anthony. Portfolio review with the team.
Any research involved-light competitive analysis but it will be on personal basis.
3 pieces in the portfolio would be great.
Shortlisting by Tuesday or Wednesday.

Primary Responsibilities

Understand business goals, challenges, root causes of customer problems and metrics of success for each project — helping teams stay aligned and/or adjusting as necessary.

Deliver designs from problem definition to final execution across the complete E2E customer journey using user-centered thinking.

Create user scenarios, journey maps, wireframes, high-fidelity designs and prototypes throughout the full cycle of the product development process.

Use data to present clear and compelling narratives that illuminate customer problems, business opportunities and design strategies. Solve immediate customer needs while balancing long-term strategies.

Work collaboratively within Design as well as with Product, Engineering and Business Units to rapidly produce thoughtful and intuitive experiences.

Key Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on UI/UX/Product/Visual design experience in web and native apps.

Degree in interaction design, HCI, industrial design, graphic design, visual communication or equivalent.

Highly proficient in design and wireframing software such as Figma.

Outstanding online portfolio demonstrating your design talent, thinking and roles played in the projects that span multiple platforms.

Professional work experience driving design and user-experience for end-to-end projects including concepting and visualizing experiences through storyboarding, scenarios, task flows, and prototypes at all levels of fidelity and presenting those thoughts to partners.
