Jordan’s Furniture’s ECommerce team has an opening for a UX/UI Designer to join our growing, dedicated team, all of whom takes pride in their contributions. The UX/UI Designer is responsible for designing fully responsive experiences for all device types, leading and solving UX/UI design challenges, and creating best-in-class user experiences for the website and marketing initiatives. The individual will make data-driven decisions and translate high-level business requirements into design wireframes showcasing intuitive and functional user experiences. This position is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days in the office located in Dedham, MA.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead ECommerce UX/UI design projects ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience using Jordan’s style guide.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate ECom requirements into design concepts, user flows, and wireframes.
  • Partner cross-functionally with the Art Director to create design experiences for retail marketing calendar initiatives.
  • Develop innovative designs for brand and business initiatives while optimizing the overall site experience.
  • Demonstrate a working understanding of modern coding methods, best practices, and CMS structures to blend design concepts and development frameworks.
  • Adhere to ADA & WCAG standards and maintain in-depth understanding of company and industry methodologies, best practices, and recent studies/findings that promote best-in-class accessible design experiences.
  • Conduct competitive research and execute all phases of the ECom design process including wireframing concepts/mockups, collaborating with the creative team, to prepare for the development and QA phases.
  • Complete user research, session replay analysis, A/B testing, and other usability testing methods to validate designs and identify areas of improvement.
  • Identify and suggest solutions to resolve user experience challenges and friction points and develop technical and business requirements that deliver intuitive and user-centric solutions.
  • Partner with stakeholder teams during design and development phases to ensure project goals and deadlines are achieved.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects and deliverables concurrently and efficiently.
  • Participate in the ECommerce roadmap planning process to identify opportunities and emerging trends.
  • Contribute to marketing cross-functional teams to bring best-in-class Jordan’s experience to consumers.
  • Maintain awareness of UX/UI trends, best practices, and technologies to continuously improve design strategy and execution.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing, Communications, or related discipline.
  • 2-4 years of experience in responsive web design/web development technologies: HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.
  • Advanced proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Cloud, Illustrator and other tools.
  • Proficiency in building cross-browser and cross-device responsive interfaces.
  • Knowledge of web analytics and qualitative data to inform design.
  • Problem solving skills to determine solutions to user interface challenges.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills including the ability to communicate design concepts clearly and persuasively to various audiences.
  • Multi-tasking and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in teams.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to help build new processes.
  • Portfolio demonstrating clean, intuitive, and functional UX/UI designs.
