Company Overview
At Zuora, we do Modern Business. We’re helping people subscribe to new ways of doing business that are better for people, companies, and, ultimately, the planet. It’s an approach resulting from the shift to the Subscription Economy that puts customers first by building recurring relationships instead of one-time product sales and focuses on sustainable growth. Through our leading expertise and multi-product suite, we are transforming all industries and working with the world’s most innovative companies to monetize new business models, nurture subscriber relationships, and optimize their digital experiences.
The Team & Role

THE TEAM: CORPORATE OPERATIONS

The UI/UX Team plays a pivotal role in crafting intuitive and visually appealing user experiences across our digital platforms. Our team is dedicated to designing interfaces that seamlessly blend functionality with elegance, prioritizing user needs and preferences at every step. With a user-centric approach, we strive to create engaging and accessible experiences that enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth. Leveraging the latest design principles and technologies, we collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that exceed expectations. Join us in shaping the future of user experience and making a meaningful impact in the digital landscape.
As a UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for creating intuitive and visually stunning user interfaces while ensuring exceptional user experiences across our digital platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and other designers to deliver innovative solutions that meet user needs and business objectives. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders who depend on customer data, Customer Experience, Digital workplace and Infrastructure teams. You will also work closely with your teammates on the Corporate Data team to improve the user experience and processes. The ideal candidate should possess a strong analytical mindset and excellent research and communication skills.
What you’ll do

As a UI/UX Designer, you’ll support the following company objectives:

  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, user needs, and business objectives. Actively participate in project meetings and discussions to gather insights and align design decisions with project goals.
  • Conduct user research activities such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gain insights into user behavior, preferences, and pain points. Analyze research findings to inform design decisions and iterate on user interface designs to improve usability and user satisfaction.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to visualize design concepts and interactions. Create low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes using design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma to effectively communicate design ideas and gather feedback from stakeholders and users.
  • Design visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces for web and mobile applications. Create pixel-perfect designs that adhere to brand guidelines and design standards. Use typography, color theory, and layout principles to create engaging and user-friendly interface designs that enhance the overall user experience.
  • Apply user-centered design principles and methodologies to create seamless and efficient user experiences. Define user personas, user journeys, and interaction patterns to guide the design process and ensure that user needs are met at every stage of the product development lifecycle.
  • Ensure that UI/UX designs are accessible to users with disabilities and diverse needs. Follow accessibility standards such as WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) to design interfaces that are inclusive and usable by all users, regardless of their abilities or assistive technologies.
  • Design responsive and adaptive user interfaces that provide consistent experiences across different devices and screen sizes. Optimize designs for various platforms and browsers to ensure compatibility and performance.
  • Participate in design reviews, critiques, and iterations to refine design solutions based on feedback and user testing results. Iterate on design prototypes and implement changes based on usability testing findings to continuously improve the user experience.
  • Create design documentation, style guides, and design specifications to document design decisions and provide guidance for developers during implementation. Collaborate with developers to ensure that design assets are accurately translated into code and maintain design consistency across the product.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in UI/UX design. Attend conferences, workshops, and webinars to enhance your skills and knowledge and apply emerging trends and techniques to your design work.

Your experience

Must have:

  • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or equivalent is essential. Candidates should be comfortable creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using these tools and have a solid understanding of design principles and best practices.
  • Solid understanding of front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is required. Experience with front-end frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js is a plus. Candidates should be able to collaborate effectively with developers to translate design concepts into code and ensure seamless implementation.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies is essential. Candidates should have experience conducting user research, creating user personas, and designing intuitive user interfaces that prioritize user needs and enhance the overall user experience.
