HOURS: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM with a 90-minute break. All schedules are subject to adjustment based on ratios and the general needs of the preschool. No overtime. Location and hours vary during school breaks and summer.
PAY RANGE: Starting at $14.25, increases to $15 after 90 days and completion of DCF hours

REQUIREMENTS:
- One year of experience is very highly preferred, but we can train!
- DCF 45-Hour Child Care credential is highly preferred; ability to complete within 90 days of employment if not already credentialed.
- Reliable transportation & attendance.
- Ability and willingness to complete DCF training requirements within the 90-day introductory period.
- Ability to pass a Level II background check and pre-employment drug test, including THC.
Our Little Dolphins Preschool (located within J.D. Floyd Elementary School) is looking for an energetic, loving and stern experienced teacher to work in our Twos & Threesclassroom.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
- Assist in the creation of a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the physical, social, and emotional development of students with an emphasis on language development and emergent literacy skills
- Implement the Funnydaffer curriculum
- Interact with the children in a way that conveys respect and nurturing, while supporting the social and emotional development of children
- Play with children; this will often mean getting down on the floor to interact with them
- Provide activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving appropriate to the development levels of the children
- Assist in the selection of books, equipment and other instructional materials appropriate for the early childhood program
- Take attendance, complete incident/accident reports and document all daily activities
- Attend to the personal hygiene of each child in your care, including changing diapers or soiled clothing and washing hands & faces
- Maintain a safe environment based on safety standards set by the program
- Assist in the cleaning and straightening of the classrooms throughout and at the end of the day, as well as putting away any outside equipment
- Maintain open, friendly, and cooperative relationships with each child’s family and encourage their involvement in the program
