Position Summary / Role Overview
The Travel, Expense and Procurement Specialist will direct, operate, and administer the corporate travel program, including domestic and international air, lodging and car rentals. This role will function as a liaison to the travel management company and suppliers. The crafting of effective corporate travel policies, administration of the corporate card program and expense management are essential functions of this role. Procurement responsibilities will include assisting with the development and implementation of streamlined processes, contract negotiations and vendor management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze, recommend, and implement changes within the organization, as it relates to corporate travel, expense reimbursement and procurement, balancing business needs and company controls
- Research suppliers such as airlines, hotels, and car rental companies
- Negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective and efficient travel for team members
- Develop, implement, and manage supplier relationships
- Work closely with service providers to identify, track and resolve service-related issues
- Evaluate, plan, develop and implement travel, expense, and procurement policies and procedures
- Identify service enhancements and initiate process improvements
- Build dashboard, reports, and templates for capturing and tracking data
- Evaluate and advise on cost savings opportunities
- Monitor and report on expenditures related to policy compliance
- Remain up to date with industry trends and developments
- Drive continuous improvement and workplace innovation
- Work closely with stakeholders and experts to identify and resolve issues and evaluate potential business risk
- Administer the corporate credit card program inclusive of managing provider relations, reporting, development and team member training on program benefits, best business practices, policies and procedures
- Expense report processing and administration
- Provide consistent professional, high-standard, customer service and administrative support

- Policy development, compliance, and enforcement strategies to manage cost, safety and business risk
- Program enhancements targeted to improve team member satisfaction, decrease risk and achieve business objectives
- Comprehensive data capture, reporting and benchmarking; analysis of cost, behaviors, and industry trends to identify areas for improvement
- Vendor negotiation and management to drive long-term cost savings
- High-level responsiveness and service to team members and stakeholders
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Training in the Fundamental and Advanced Principles of Business Travel Management
Skill and Experience Requirements
- Proven experience in corporate travel management, corporate card administration and procurement processes, policies, and procedures
- Working knowledge of the Concur Travel and Expense platform
- Working knowledge of MS Office and Dynamics GP
- Basic analytics skills with a data-driven approach to recommendations
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and negotiation skills
- Well-organized and dependable
- Customer-oriented approach
