- Analyzing and confirming material requirements and inventory on hand or in transit to optimize overall supply chain planning.
- Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing and process execution.
- Responsible and accountable for material continuity for assigned programs including On-Time to SIOP, material budget and problem resolution within job scope.
- Provide cost and material availability input to program proposals for Business Development
- Coordinating planning decisions from end users and information from suppliers to reduce material shortages, working with personnel from departments such as Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, and Inventory Control specifically as it relates to consumables and shelf-life commodities with their unique requirements to support production while simultaneously minimizing excess which would run out of shelf-life.
- You’ll need at least 4 years of experience in a supply-chain or materials-related position, preferably supporting a discrete high-reliability and complex manufacturing operation.
- Computer proficiency is required, with advanced knowledge of ERP systems, (Infor LN preferred) MRP Planning systems environment and proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
- Must be able to develop and execute an MRP plan using business systems and desktop applications.
- Knowledge of consumable materials used in aerospace applications as well as electronic (hi-reliability) parts and machined parts requirements and associated processes is helpful.
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to develop creative solutions to problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills are needed to effectively deal with internal and external customers and suppliers.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and directions under external pressure
