The Associate Designer / Women’s Apparel will work with Design to execute seasonal design concepts for retail customers across multiple price points
- Highly proficient in creating Illustrator sketches / CADS / print re-coloring
- Perform competitive analysis; responsible for researching and identifying relevant trends in color, silhouette, fabric/yarn and trim
- Design according to line plans, sales intel and emerging trends
- Initiate and manage customer trend and design decks
- Knowledge of garment and fabric construction
- Develop initial tech packs; specs, detail sheets, BOM
- Daily communication with overseas offices
- Manage deadlines in accordance to the calendar
- Coordinate and follow up with cross functional partners in product development, technical design and production
- Help maintain day-to-day projects; filing/organizing of fabric/yarn references, updating development, preparing packages, labeling samples, line preparation, shipping/tracking packages
- Maintain organized filing system for all CAD’s
- Must have ability to multi-task and shift priorities within a team structure
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design
- 3+ year’s experience in Women’s Apparel Design a must
- Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Excel, PLM
- Excellent organizational and communication skills; detail oriented
- Must have authorization to work in the United States
- This role is required to work in office 5 days a week
Salary range: $62,400 - $65,000 per year
