To all experienced CVOR Nurseout there, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a CVOR Nursefor a 13-week assignment at our top-rated hospital in Passaic, New Jersey.
Key Responsibilities:
Preoperative Assessment and Preparation:
- Conduct thorough preoperative assessments, including patient history, vital signs, and medications.
- Prepare patients for CVOR surgery, addressing questions and concerns.
- Verify consent forms and patient identification.
Intraoperative Care:
- Assist in the preparation of the CVOR, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning correctly.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a sterile field and adhere to aseptic techniques.
- Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the anesthesiologist.
- Monitor patient vital signs, cardiac status, and response to surgery.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide prompt assistance.
- Communicate with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and other team members effectively.
Postoperative Care:
- Transfer patients to the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) or the cardiac surgical recovery area.
- Monitor and assess patients' post-surgical condition, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic stability.
- Administer medications, manage pain, and address any complications.
Qufications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Current state RN license.
- Certification in perioperative nursing (e.g., CNOR) and/or cardiovascular nursing (e.g., CVRN-BC) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
