Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room. As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care during surgical procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the successful outcomes of our patients.

Shift:

-5x8 hour or 4x10

-2:30pm to 11:00pm

Compensation:

-Weekly Travel Rate-$2937, Travel Hourly Rate-$73.43

-Local Weekly Rate-$2669, Local Weekly Rate-$66.73

Duties:
- Perform pre-operative assessments, including reviewing medical history and ensuring patient readiness for surgery
- Collaborate with the surgical team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Assist in surgical procedures by providing sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment to the surgeon
- Monitor patients during surgery, including vital signs, anesthesia administration, and patient positioning
- Administer medications as prescribed by the surgeon or anesthesiologist
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately and thoroughly
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe Operating Room environment
- Provide post-operative care, including monitoring recovery, managing pain, and educating patients on post-operative instructions

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Operating Room procedures and protocols
- Ability to provide excellent patient care with compassion and empathy
- Proficient in critical care nursing techniques and interventions
- Familiarity with workers compensation laws and regulations
- Experience working in an ambulatory surgery center is preferred
- Health coaching skills to support patients with chronic conditions or lifestyle modifications
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities in a compassionate manner
- Knowledge of laboratory standards and practices for specimen collection and handling
- Understanding of infection control practices to prevent the spread of healthcare-associated infections
