Job description

Hours: Monday-Friday; rotating and flexible between 7am-7pm

WORK FROM HOME STATUS: Eligible

After a period of in-person training and time working onsite with your team, this role has the option to work remotely (in WI only at this time). In general, this timeframe tends to be 4-8 weeks. Note that there will be situations when someone may choose or be asked to return onsite which would be coordinated and scheduled in advance.

As a Transportation Coordinator – International, you will support sales associates and customers by providing and executing transportation solutions and managing exceptions with export shipments across the globe. Strong focus on international export shipments, freight forwarder transactions and Canada. This position will also be responsible for demonstrating the guiding principles as listed on the 4imprint Compass.

Here’s what a typical day might look like. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Demonstrate the eight core principles that guide every 4imprint teammate on a daily basis: Honesty, Curiosity, Collaboration, Flexibility, Accountability, Empathy, Positive Attitude, and Humility.
  • Assist the Transportation team in executing international:
    • International customer quotes
    • Air and ocean shipment booking for international orders
    • Exception report management
    • Shipping issue resolution including, but not limited to, customs and duty issues, address exceptions, documentation reviews and requests
  • Assist with the coordination of international shipping requests including:
    • Quotes, documents, tracking, vendor communication
    • DC inbound and outbound shipping including samples
  • Support the customer service team in providing transportation services for the best possible customer experience from the quoting stage through final delivery.
  • Interact with carrier partners and both internal and external customers.
  • Assist in management of international record keeping for both internal and external uses including vendor data management, brand and licensing restrictions and international service area.

Required education/skills/experience:

  • Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
  • UPS, FedEx and other carrier knowledge.
  • Prior international business and shipping experience. Strong knowledge of Canada shipping. Prefer past experience with customer selected freight forwarders.
