Champaign County Regional Planning Commission is seeking a Transportation and Facilities Coordinator to join our Early Childhood Team. From analysis to policy guidance to offering services to our communities, RPC's people plan for people.
The Transportation and Facilities Coordinator is responsible for coordinating safe transportation of Head Start children, parents, staff, volunteers, supplies, and equipment. Additionally, the Transportation and Facilities Coordinator schedules the regular, incidental, and routine maintenance of buses. Other duties include performing incidental custodial and Facility maintenance tasks as needed, managing and distributing adequate inventory and stocking of site supplies, and supervising and training bus drivers.
This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter to work autonomously and provide ideas for continuous improvement projects. Candidates must be highly skilled with repairing equipment, light electrical issues, building maintenance, computer route management, computer systems, inventory management, and fleet maintenance. Candidates must have prior success with leading teams and communicating effectively with adults and children.
