Essential Duties
- Operate safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures
- Identify, plan, design, and implement processes and procedures that optimize the use of resources, improve services, and reduce costs
- Promptly report and investigates all accidents, incidents, and injuries in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations
- Develop and monitors department goals, projects and KPI’s to ensure progress is being made and adjusts as necessary
- Plans, schedules and reviews workload and manpower working with Terminal Manager to meet operational targets on a cost-effective basis
- Ensures compliance with appropriate regulatory agencies, state, federal, county, WISHA and company practices and policies
- Work with R&M to ensure equipment is properly maintained and available for use.
- Develops and maintains Carlile customer and vendor relationships
- Work closely with Regulatory Compliance to maintain driver records and training
- Collaborate with Human Resources on recruitment and retention of employees.
- Provides advice, guidance and direction to staff for their professional development.
- Oversees and manages the professional development and productivity of all staff members to ensure proper goals, training, professional development and project requirements are met.
- Maintain a collaborative environment, modeling behaviors of safety, respect, performance and professionalism
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- AA/AS or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or logistics preferred
- Ten to twelve years transportation industry experience with eight to ten years in a leadership role.
- Valid drivers' license
