About Rite’s of Passage Homes
Rites of Passage homes are TRANSITIONAL LIVING programs which offer housing and support services to young adults aged 18 – 21 who are transitioning out of the foster care system or experiencing homelessness. ROP provides adolescents with a stable living environment, as well as life training, educational and vocational assistance. Our staff provides counselling services to help these young adults achieve self-sufficiency as well as independence. ROP is staffed by trained professionals who work closely with each resident to develop individualized plans for their success.

Responsibilities:
- Build trusting relationships with at-risk youth, promoting a safe and supportive environment within Rites of Passage.
- Provide guidance and support in areas such as education, employment, life skills, personal development, and social integration.
- Conduct one-on-one mentoring sessions, addressing the emotional, behavioral, and academic needs of the youth.
- Collaborate with case managers, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized service plans.
- Assist in coordinating and facilitating group workshops, educational programs, and recreational activities for the youth.
- Teach and encourage responsible decision-making, conflict resolution, and positive communication skills.
- Monitor and document participants' progress, maintaining accurate records of their achievements, challenges, and any incidents.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to program policies and guidelines.
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary, following established protocols and ensuring the safety of all participants.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology with one year experience providing direct care to youth in a behavioral health agency or institutional setting.;
- We will consider applicants with High School diplomas -OR- equivalent, that can show at least three (3) years’ experience providing direct care to youth in a behavioral health agency or institutional setting.
- Minimum age requirement of 21 years.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Physical & Drug Screening, Criminal Record History, FBI, and Child Abuse History Clearances
