Dinsmore is seeking a Training & Support Specialist at our Cincinnati, OH or Louisville, KY location.
Responsibilities
- Create engaging and interactive training sessions tailored to various learning styles
- Coordinate and conduct training sessions, including new hire, on the use of Firm-supported hardware and software
- Conduct in-person or virtual training sessions for individuals or groups
- Design, develop and update training materials, training outlines, manuals, reference guides, eLearning video content, and other reference material for existing software or new and updated software rollouts
- Assist in the creation and ongoing updates to all training material and course content in the Learning Management System
- Participate in the design and implementation of training programs and communication to support and advocate for technology-based initiatives and projects
- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts in an understandable manner and translate into user documentation and eLearning
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify training needs and objectives
- Collect feedback from trainees to continually improve training programs and contribute to the development of training programs for existing or new and updated software rollouts
- Identify technology skill gaps of individual users by analyzing user requests in order to develop skills and make recommendations
- Develop a deep understanding of software applications used within the Firm
- Stay abreast of the latest updates and features of relevant software applications
- Participates in the evaluation, testing, and quality assurance of new software applications and updates being deployed
- Utilize multimedia and interactive tools to enhance training delivery
- Assist in the implementation of best practices related to workflow, case management, document management and practice group technology
- Coordinate with other areas/departments where overlap exists to develop efficient procedures and communications to streamline processes and satisfy needs
- Support adherence to firm standards and use of firm-supported hardware and software
- Collaborate with IT and support teams to ensure a smooth user experience
- Provide ongoing support to users, addressing queries and troubleshooting issues
- Travel as needed to various offices to participate in either training or new project initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- Minimum of 3 years of related duties and responsibilities
- Expert level or the ability to readily achieve expert level in support of Microsoft products and core applications within our environment
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
- Ability to actively listen to, convey, and understand the comments and questions of others
- Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and oral)
- Ability to communicate and document comprehensive technical issues for a non-technical audience in a professional manner
- Self-motivated and able to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to handle multiple ongoing projects while meeting deadlines and keeping supervisor notified of progress or conflicts
- Ability to effectively build relationships with colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and constructively with employees, supervisors, and management in a team environment
- Ability to adapt training methods to diverse audiences and learning styles
- Project management skills for coordinating training initiatives
