Summary
Cardinal Glass Industries has an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented person with a passion for training systems and communications to join our team as our Training Specialist.
The Training Specialist is responsible for the oversite of our training software, Cornerstone, content creation, and performing training and communication related duties on a professional level. This position works closely with a wide variety of individuals including HR team members at the corporate office, Training/HR/Safety contacts at Cardinal locations along with Plant Managers, and vendors.
Cardinal Glass Industries is leading the industry in the development of residential glass for windows and doors. We have over 9,000 employees located at 40+ manufacturing locations operating in 22 states.
Specific Duties
- Lead design, reporting, and maintenance of LMS (Cornerstone) training system.
- Execute day-to-day management of Cornerstone LMS, ensure accuracy and integrity of all information and data residing on the learning technology platform, resolve plants issues, and ensure the availability and usefulness of all required reports.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts across Cardinal to build technically accurate training and communications that meet the learning objectives for each location.
- Build training plans, execute coursework, and other specific technical training to support an ongoing culture of learning and development.
- Create and maintain user accounts and learning records within Cornerstone LMS.
- Develop upgrade plans working closely with IT and Learning departments.
- Assess company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives.
- Develop metrics and means of measuring the effectiveness of training programs and provide feedback to management and leadership.
- Build relationships with Subject Matter Experts to understand roadmaps and plan for content updates or new training offerings.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Cornerstone LMS - proficient with SCORM and AICC compliant authoring tools. Exceptional ability to quickly master new content, applications, and/or tools.
