As part of the Gillings School of Global Public Health, the NC Institute of Public Health ( NCIPH) has the mission of creating systems, programs and policies that work for all. NCIPH serves as a resource for public health professionals across the state, region and country. Position Summary
This is a time limited position
This position will provide support to NCIPH online continuing professional development activities including fee-based continuing education courses and other training events, as well as grant and contract supported activities that help support capacity-building at NC public health agencies. The person in this role will provide support to course directors by creating e-learning modules and building courses in learning management systems and by administering an overall learning management system for NCIPH. The person in this role will be expected to:
Build courses in learning management systems (e.g., Docebo, Canvas, TRAIN),
Create/edit PowerPoint presentations,
Create e-learning modules from story boards using technologies such as Articulate 360
Tasks related to the coordination and execution of online continuing professional development programs and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
- Experience with Articulate 360
-Ability to work independently within a team-based structure to accomplish goals and objectives according to project timelines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Detail oriented.
- Prior experience in developing instructional technology for continuing professional development, prefer previous experience developing content for online learning and/or prior experience in CPD for public health
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, and other Microsoft programs.
Experience video and image editing
Familiarity with CDC Quality Training Standards
