The Training and Organization Development Specialist (TODS) under the direct guidance of the Associate Director of Eleversity, is instrumental in supporting the delivery of dynamic and high impact trainings to providers of supported employment services across NYS.
Pay rate for this position: $21.29 - $24.84 / hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting
- Provide statewide (NYS) training sessions virtually and in person.
- Conduct scholarly and practical research on best practices in supported employment, workforce development and vocational rehabilitation.
- Assist in the development of competency-based curricula and technical assistance materials as prescribed by funder, using prescribed training format, design, and templates.
- Create multi-modal learning activities to support knowledge acquisition and translation.
- Maintain communication with key stakeholders and project partner liaisons for the purpose of partnership building, program marketing outreach, materials review and revisions.
- Work with Eleversity Director, Associate Director and funding partners to interpret session evaluation data and implement changes in materials or training provision accordingly.
- Collaborate in development and dissemination of technical assistance materials to support Organizational Development with supported employment service providers.
- Associates Degree required; Bachelor’s preferred
- 3-5 years of experience developing and delivering training to groups of varying sizes
- Demonstrated involvement with OPWDD SEMP supported employment services and vocational services for individuals with ID/DD
- Demonstrated involvement with local/regional and/or statewide Supported Employment stakeholder groups or consortiums
- Demonstrated curricula development skills
- Demonstrated utilization of training equipment, including projectors, smartboards, wireless speakers, webcams, and other tools as required
- Demonstrated training delivery skills (evaluation samples and training audition required)
- Ability to travel within New York state (may include overnight travel), and make related travel arrangements
- Ability to deliver engaging trainings in a virtual environment
