Position Summary
A leading global supply chain management company of agriculture commodities for feed and fiber is seeking a self-motivated individual for a position on our Trading team located in Richardson, Texas. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking. This role will report to the Vice President, Cotton Americas with daily oversight by the Trader, Cotton Americas.
Position Responsibilities
- Receive orders from Cash traders across the world and place the orders as instructed, with proper tags.
- Update orders as per the requirement of the traders.
- Apply discretion and watch the market activity to get the best fills.
- Record and upload all the trades done during the day into proprietary position managements systems.
- Prepare daily reports showing the execution done, pending orders, and end of day positions across all the books.
- Prepare regulatory and compliance reports.
- Prepare and analyze the cotton risk and position reports for Olam Agri’s Cotton Americas business units.
- Liaise with the Global Middle Office to resolve trade discrepancies.
- Partner with the Cotton Prop Trading Team to generate market analysis and trade recommendations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with Three River Cotton Systems software is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact effectively an honestly with employees at all levels.
- Ability to work with a diverse team across many geographies.
- Ability to work under pressure without losing focus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage workload to meet deadlines, while ensuring a high standard of quality.
- High level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information.
