Trade Show & Event Manager

We are currently growing our Trade Show & Events team and we are seeking a motivated, passionate, and people-oriented leader to join our dynamic team as a Trade Show & Event Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience planning, organizing, and executing Trade Show events or festival booths.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the public face of the Queerencia/PridePromo brand at events and Trade Shows by engaging with attendees and enthusiastically promoting our products and services
• Travel to scheduled events with inventory and set up the Queerencia/PridePromo booth using an agreed-upon marketing strategy
• Track inventory and expenses associated with each event and report on results following event tracking SOPs
• Collaborate on the design of our event booth space with team members to ensure the highest profit and promotion of the brand
• Collaborate with the team to plan, strategize, and select events based on financial projections and historical results to ensure the highest profitability for event attendance
• Collaborate on selecting inventory to be sold at each event based on past results and develop sales strategies at the events to maximize profitability
• Responsible for booking event space with each planned event, as well as planning travel accommodations and lodging
• Communicate with event staff before, during, and after events to ensure the efficient execution
• Responsible for hiring and managing event support staff and Event Marketers
• Manages the maintenance of the company vehicle/van including regular maintenance and repairs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or relevant experience
• 3+ years experience in Trade Show and event marketing preferred
• An upbeat, positive, and outgoing personality is required due to the focus on engagement in the position
• Excellent verbal communication and intrapersonal skills
• Ability to travel most weekends and at other times to attend events (80% travel)
• Experience in a retail environment, preferred
• MUST fit the Queerencia/PridePromo brand and be a positive ambassador for our message and mission
• Basic knowledge of tracking financials in a retail environment
• Ability to operate responsibly without direct oversight and make independent decisions that fall under company policy and procedures
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally when setting up an event space
• Experience with a CRM system and inventory software a plus
• Must be able to stand and move around at an event effectively to engage with attendees
• Ability to learn POS software and use basic computer functions
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience managing and supervising another employee
• Attention to detail and ability to manage each event as a project manager
• Desire to grow professionally as the role expands and we build more event teams
