Get to Know This Role
The alcohol beverage category is one of the most dynamic and fastest growing within retail. Consumers' and shoppers' love affair with these products means they are looking for leading brands to enhance drinking occasions and to help them explore and discover new things. As Trade Marketing Coordinator for Sierra Nevada Brewing, you will work closely with the Trade Marketing Manager to support the execution tactics of our annual TRADE MARKETING programs & point of sale tools at retail. You'll lead customized sales support and retail programming, while ensuring promotional items are routed and approved by internal stakeholders. This role leads annual POS & merchandise planning and development to support national trade programs & key product releases, working with outside promotional partners and internal teams across both sales and marketing. This role will be the source of truth and act as the execution arm of our TRADE MARKETING & POS activations, sitting on a newly developed Connected Commerce division, while supporting our Brand Marketing and Sales teams to drive program execution and conversions at retail.

What You Will Do

  • Owns creation, deployment & execution of customized TRADE MARKETING support for opportunity class of trade in various channels, including annual programming calendar, regional/account level sweepstakes, cross-merch promotions, POS development & national program support.
  • Works alongside Trade Marketing Manager to develop retail point-of-sale and merchandise items to support execution across all classes of trade and owned channels. This includes partnering with creative & procurement teams to deliver against agreed upon deadlines & leading trade POS pre-order schedule to ensure on-time delivery to execute national programs, key product releases & regional program requests.
  • Leads annual POS & merchandise ideation, project management, demand planning, and fulfillment in partnership with brand, creative, and procurement teams to deliver against national program calendar & key product release dates (e.g. Physical retail displays, branded merch, printed collateral, signage & shippers).
  • Owns holistic planning, communication, and execution of Sales POS pre-order process in tandem with Sales & Procurement partners rooted in demand planning and trade execution deadlines.
  • Key boundary spanner between Trade, Brand Marketing, Procurement, and Shopper Agency teams ensuring execution of point-of-sale, and retail solutions that drive trade program success.
  • Oversees retail marketing POS and merchandise for trade in alignment with Procurement, Guest Experience, and eComm teams to drive assortment efficiencies across external retail, owned gift shops & DTC.
  • Communicates retail execution details for programming to sales & field marketing teams in alignment with the annual trade calendar, as well as retailer and wholesaler planning meetings.
  • Owns partnership with internal creative and shopper agency teams to hand off final trade POS files to print vendors and ensure all assets and support tools are available on our digital asset management system.
  • Partner with Sales Team to establish two-way dialogue to gather market insights and feedback on POS effectiveness to drive continual improvement.
  • Works with Trade Marketing Manager to plan against Trade Marketing & Sales POS budgets rooted in class of trade and program strategy.

Please Apply if You Have
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related function or any combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved

  • 3 years of CPG brand/marketing/sales and/or Trade Marketing experience required

  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver solutions to complex business problems
  • Proven ability to drive complex projects to completion
  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines and priorities by multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage complex programs on budget with successful ROI
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and within cross-functional teams
  • Systems thinking, with an appetite to optimize homegrown solutions to drive future growth at retail and internal procurement/fulfillment efficiencies.
