Principal Functional Responsibilities:
- Make safety your number one priority leading by example, and supporting the safety environment at BrassCraft
- Program, setup and operate machinery to manufacture tooling per engineering prints; operate multiple machinery simultaneously
- Maintain a customer-focused mindset to support our internal customers; actively seek to understand problems to aid in a solution
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Previous Master Cam X5 or higher experience
- Experience with Surface grinding Close tolerance +/-.0005 and Cylindrical grinding Close tolerance +/- .00025
- Experience grinding solid carbide
- Experience Machining on manual machines
- 3 years machine shop or toolroom experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5-10 years previous machine shop or toolroom experience
- Successful completion of CNC machining or grinding course
Competencies:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Basic understanding of G-Code programming
- Detail oriented
- Understanding of math used in machining
