POSITION SUMMARY
Construct and maintain zinc and aluminum casting dies, assist training of Tool Room personnel, support other Departments with Tool Room knowledge.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Setup and operate all conventional Tool Room equipment.
- Repair and maintain complicated dies and construct new tooling.
- Satisfy quality improvement issues.
- Use good safety measures and housekeeping practices.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal climate control Tool Room occasional lifting up to 50 lb., occasional exposure to Production area (heat, fumes, noise).
QUALIFICATIONS
Prefer a 2 year degree in Machine Tool plus State Indenture Tool Program plus minimum of 6 years Tool & Die or equivalent.
