Hatch Stamping Company is looking for experienced Tool & Die Makers to build progressive and transfer dies to meet production standards and goals in a timely manner.
The Tool & Die Maker should be knowledgeable of Atlas and/or Linear transfer presses. A successful candidate will possess a positive work attitude, shift flexibility, and the ability to work overtime based on business needs.
Responsibilities (This section is not inclusive. Other duties may be assigned as necessary).
· Read blueprints to build quality components within tolerances of one-thousandths of an inch
· Use a variety of measuring instruments
· Recognize and repair tooling failures while doing preventive maintenance on the bench
· Identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
· Test and repair or replace die protections devices (sensors)
Qualifications and Skills
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Journeymen Tool & Die Makers must have 40 college credits and/or 8000 hours on the job experience
· Experience working with progressive and transfer dies (tight tolerances) in a high volume precision metal forming/stamping plant
· Experience troubleshooting progressive and transfer die production issues, preventative maintenance, continuous improvement, etc.
· Must be proficient in reading blueprints, using measurement tools (mics, calipers, dial indications, functional gauges), and standard tool room equipment/machinery (lathe, mill, surface grinder, drill press, etc.) as well as experience working with a variety of steels (hot and cold rolled, high strength, stainless, coated, etc.)
