POSITION DESCRIPTION:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains all operations within Tooling Specialist specified area including, reviewing area safety, quality targets, identifying tooling issues and communicating them to supervisors and management in a timely manner. Must set an example in all areas above and must effectively communicate with employees both within and outside of the given area. Must lead by example with above average attendance.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with Product Care and R & D engineering on proposed design changes.
Quote and track ECN's through the implantation process.
Quote replacement details for new and production tools. (min of 2 quotes, 3 preferred)
Review all ECN's and new tool designs with feedback on any improvements.
Issue requisitions for all new and replacement of current tooling details using AS400.
Maintain input for all tooling in INFOR software. (Set-up and PM Schedules)
Maintain Master Die List which tracks location size and status of all dies.
Attend all die trials for T2, T3 and ECN's and document any findings. (extended travel, foreign and domestic).
Track all die movements with Die Transfer sheets.
Work with Fabrication on all outsourcing of Tooling. (Short term or Long term)
Monitor Ignition (OEE, Performance) for all Tooling. Lead CIP's to eliminate tooling issues and drive tooling improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND BASIC SKILLS:
High School diploma or GED
Five years Electrolux experience with working knowledge of required processes, or ten years previous tooling equal experience.
Above average attendance record in previous positions.
CAD experience, Auto Cad and Solid Works, able to extract details & make minor changes.
Communicate clearly and concisely in English both verbally and in writing.
Ability to speak Spanish a plus
Ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
Able to stand the majority of the shift to perform duties as necessary.
