Job Description
Position Overview:
As a Tool and Die Maker, you'll play a pivotal role in the production process, creating and maintaining precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures. Collaborating closely with engineers and production teams, you'll ensure the highest levels of quality and efficiency in operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and specifications to determine tooling and Die requirements.
- Operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines, to fabricate tooling components.
- Conduct precision machining operations to tight tolerances, both manually and with computer-controlled equipment.
- Inspect finished tooling and Dies for conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot and repair existing tooling and Dies to maintain optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship in machining preferred.
- Demonstrated experience as a machinist or CNC operator in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, including cutting speeds, feeds, and tooling selection.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
While prior experience in Tool and Die making is preferred, we're open to candidates with a strong machining background who are eager to learn and develop new skills. For individuals with machining experience who demonstrate a passion for precision manufacturing and a willingness to undergo additional training, this position offers an excellent opportunity to transition into the specialized field of Tool and Die making. Pay Details: $22.00 to $28.00 per hour
