In-Home Preschool & Daycare Teacher

We are looking for a patient, loving, creative, fun, hard working, fast / multi tasking team member for our in-home daycare and preschool. We have 12 children (ages 1 - 5 years old) and 3 teachers. We are a very close knit and loving environment among teachers and student families.

Applicants do not need to have prior daycare / preschool work experience, but must be enthusiastic, bubbly, engaging, fun, with a positive attitude, and love children!

Specifics:

• Starting salary $20 - 22/hr
• About 7 business weeks of paid time off (set schedule) after 90 days of employment.
• Hours Monday - Friday 12:30 - 5pm (there will also be opportunities to sub and possibly additional hours down the road)
• No parking, must have other means of transportation (bus, bike, ride share, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Keeping children engaged through conversation, read stories, free play, puppet play, art, projects, soccer, yoga, and much more!
• Communicate with parents professionally
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
• Caregiving: diaper changes, potty training, cooking meals, deep cleaning, organizing, comforting and cleaning up after sick students, loving and comforting new students
• Sanitize and disinfect throughout the day to manage health pandemic

Skills Required

• Flexible, positive attitude, open to constructive feedback (learning mindset!)
• Fast paced, multi-tasking, cleaning skills, and organized
• Basic cooking capabilities (PM snacks)
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Ability to act as mediator between children
• Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable (punctuality is a professional must!)

Prerequisites

• Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR
• Immunization Record (TDAP and MMR)
• TB Skin Test Clearance
• Live Scan Background Check
