Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Teach basic academic skills, such as letters, numbers, shapes, and colors
- Foster social and emotional development through positive reinforcement and guidance
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and behavior
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning environment
- Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary materials
Experience:
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood development and educational theories
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lessons that cater to different learning styles
- Experience in curriculum development is a plus
- Special education experience or training is beneficial
- Skills in dance, photography, sewing, or other creative activities are a bonus
Requirements:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; an associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with young children
- Ability to pass a background check
