Job Description
Job Summary: The welder is responsible for fitting and welding aluminum parts using a MIG and/or TIG process. Also required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as assigned by his supervisor
Essential Duties:
- Set up welding machines based on the job at hand and using a Welding Procedure Specification.
- Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.
- Ensure work is done safely and meets qualify standards
- Follow, create, and help maintain
Welding Procedure Specifications:
- Operate machinery used in the production process
- Assemble items as instructed by supervisor
- Follow all safety rules and quality standards
- Uphold all OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with, aluminum, and/or stainless steel required
- Ability to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds consistently required
- Ability to identify and measure material
- Ability to produce quality products consistently
- Knowledge of machine and tools, including the designs and uses
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures and angle gauges
Qualifications:
- Welding certificate required
- 2+ years of experience
- Good communication skills
