JOB SUMMARY:
Set up and operation of welding operations to produce parts per quality specifications, to meet quality, cost and delivery goals.
Primary Duties:
1. Ensure that the welding operation is ready for production at beginning of shift (check welding supplies etc.) as well as performing basic maintenance as needed.
2. Receive work order from Production Supervisor, review production specs.
3. Run first piece and verify against print for accuracy and quality.
4. Load raw parts and rack-finished parts.
5. Monitor part progression (hourly checks); if out of spec, notify Production Supervisor.
6. Complete production paperwork, verifying with signature.
Miscellaneous Duties:
1. Housekeeping of personal workspace.
2. Work as assigned by Supervisors.
3. Bring material to work station if requested.
Safety Requirements:
1. Wear personal protective equipment as required.
2. Ensure that proper safeguards are activated before operating equipment.
Qualifications:
1. Welding experience (mig, tig), and passage of our internal test.
2. Ability to read blueprints.
3. Knowledge of measuring instruments (tape measure, micrometer, calipers).
4. Basic math knowledge.
5. Willingness to learn with ability to stay focused on detail.
