JOB SUMMARY:
AM LLC is looking for (5) Test Engineer, Junior candidates to support our Veterans Affairs client.
The Test Engineer, Junior will participate in the planning, constructing, review ,and execution of test scripts to support the overall project.
Strong preference for those candidates with manual software testing experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs or another federal agency.
In addition, this role will require 1 week per month in the Arlington, VA office, so it is highly preferred that all candidates live within a 60-mile radius of Arlington, VA. Over time, this role will eventually be onsite only, but that timeframe has not yet been determined.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Working with developers and other team members to identify and architect tests/test plans, support review of tests, execute tests, document results, and log and triage defects
- Ensuring test environments are set up accurately prior to test execution
- Creating test data, as necessary, to support proper execution of all test cases
- Retesting test cases and close out software defects that have been repaired
- Executing regression testing, as necessary.
- Identifying and reporting issues that may adversely impact timely completion of testing
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS. AND ABILITIES:
- Experience working as a Test Engineer, Junior
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum
- Excellentcommunication skills
- Understanding of regression testing
- Ability to quickly and efficiently solve problems
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- US citizenship or Green Card holder required to obtain a federal security clearance to support this Veterans Affairs program.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required.
- 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
- Minimum of 1+ year of experience in manual testing (application, product, system, regression testing)
- Experience using the Software Development Lifecycle
- Experience working in an Agile environment

- Active PIV card from the Department of Veterans Affairs strongly preferred

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a quiet, dedicated workspace for Home Office work.

The salary range for this role is $77,459.20 – $85,987.20. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range or be above or below the range based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, business need, and location.
