Position Description:
We are searching for a Test Automation Engineer Lead. The Test Automation Engineer Lead participates in and supports application product and business process testing of the systems used to support client operations. Supports the planning, managing, and executio n of major and minor releases of application code. Executes software testing tasks requiring analysis, reporting, planning, scheduling, working with various technologies, participating in requirements gathering, and design reviews. Participates in the quality control and review process from the application design and specification stage through final release. Works closely with software development early in the development lifecycle (requirements and design stages) to gather test cases and maximize critical path automated test coverage. Lead team members to assist with development, implementation, and delivery of automated test solutions.
Day-to Day-Duties and Responsibilities:
Working in our hybrid work design you will:
  • Develops test tools and automations for use in application and system testing using Java, Selenium, and TestComplete. Able to adapt and learn new tooling when required.
  • Creates detailed test plans, test cases, and gat hers test data. Creates test reports. Develops processes, procedures, forms, and templates for all types of testing.
  • Executes manual and/or automated tests and documents results.
  • Analyzes and reviews system requirements; uses cases and other design documents to gain overall understanding of the functionality of new and modified applications and determines appropriate level of testing required.
  • Communicates with scrum master, product owner, and development team, about testing tasks and results and to understand their needs.
  • Participates in product requirements reviews with developers and business analysts.
  • Executes automated tests and certifies software changes, enhancements, and new system features.
  • Diagnoses the cause of problems and report them in a clear, precise, and timely manner.
  • Works with test schedules and communicates any schedule delays to management.
  • Validates that automated testing activities cover all requ irements. Maps/links test cases to requirements. Documents actual results and tested steps via consumable reports.
  • Coordinates with user community to support production verification activities and work with business and IT organizations to attain sign-off on testing.
  • Contributes to the development of IT Standards and Procedures as they apply to the quality assurance and quality assurance functions.
  • May function as team lead for Quality Assurance staff including contractors.
  • May contribute to standards and best practices for use of new software testing tools. .
  • Maintains and adapts automated code for maintaining automated test coverage based on minor and major application and system releases and/or behavior changes.
  • Accounts for and reports on work items within DevOps and diligently updates and maintains DevOps items accordingly.

It’s an important role that covers many skills. This position requires:
Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) or related field or equivalent experience and six (6) or more years of experience in software quality assurance or software development in a business software environment with focus on automation testing or developing enterprise-class applications. Finance and Accounting experience including programming in a Banking environment is preferred.
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle. Thorough knowledge of quality assurance practices and methodologies. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changes in priority efficiently. Ability to analyze and solve complex problems. Ability to follow complex written instructions. Very effective written and oral communication skills as well as strong interperso nal skills. Must be able to communicate effectively to a wide variety of audiences including software development teams and end-users. Execute manual and/or automated tests and documents results. Thorough knowledge of Java programming language, automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium and TestComplete. Assists the QA Manager in defining, developing, and implementing quality assurance practices and procedures, test plans and other QA assessments.
