Part time Aptitude Test Administrator $25/hr

Founded in 1922, the Johnson O’Connor Research Foundation is a national, non-profit research and educational organization. Our clients are teenagers, young adults, and professionals at all stages of their careers looking to learn more about their innate abilities in order to discover work that is both satisfying and a natural fit.
Essential job duties include:
- Administration of aptitude tests using standardized scripts and hands-on equipment (moving chips on a board, disassembling blocks, etc.)
- Scoring of handwritten tests in a an accurate and timely manner
- Data Entry
- General office tasks (scheduling, answering phones and responding to emails)
Applicants must:
- Handle a high volume of paperwork quickly and accurately
- Be able to do quick mental math
- Communicate detailed information effectively and professionally
- Enjoy working with people on an individual basis in a professional setting
There is no degree required, however at least one year of college is preferred. This job may be a fit for those with interests in psychology, sociology, education, or the liberal arts. We’ve had people apply from varied backgrounds including career counselors, college advisors, educational consultants, teachers, tutors, librarians, office administrators, actors, and so forth.
Extensive, paid training includes memorizing test scripts, practicing scoring papers, and learning to use the job specific software.
We are located in the Greater Heights area of Houston. The position hours are part time, as needed, and in person. The office is open Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m to 4:15 p.m. This opening may be a fit for someone looking to work a few full days per week or several partial days per week. We are also open to someone available seasonally like teachers or students looking for summer employment as our busiest times are school breaks. It may also work well for someone who already has another flexible part-time job, an empty nester, or anyone looking to add some extra income.
